Home / About

A cleaning company that behaves like an operations company.

Aquabridge exists because short-stay hosts kept solving the same problem badly: finding someone reliable for a four-hour window, over and over, forever.

Our story

Why we started

Short-stay hosting in the Netherlands has professionalised on almost every axis except this one. Pricing is dynamic, listings are optimised, messaging is automated — and then the entire guest experience rests on whether one person can reach the property between 11:00 and 15:00.

We built the company around that single window: a written standard per property, a rotation of clean linen held off-site, photo proof at the end of every visit, and enough staffing depth that one person being ill is not your problem.

How we operate

Four commitments we hold ourselves to.

01

Cleaners are employed, not disposable

Our cleaners are on proper contracts, paid above the sector minimum, with travel time between properties paid as working time. This is not a values statement — it is the operational reason your turnover is done by the same person each week instead of whoever the app sent. Turnover in the cleaning sector destroys quality faster than anything else, and it is bought with pay and predictability.

02

Written before spoken

Every property has a document. Every change to it is dated. Every turnover produces a record. If a standard only exists in someone's head, it disappears the day they are on holiday — and that is precisely the day you find out.

03

We tell you before you find out

A broken glass, a stain we could not lift, a delay that will push us past 14:30 — you hear it from us first, with a photo, while there is still time to act. A supplier who only reports good news is a supplier you have to check up on, which defeats the point of hiring one.

04

We turn down work we cannot do well

If your property is outside our service area, needs a window we cannot reliably hold, or wants services we do not offer, we say so at the walkthrough. Growing faster than we can staff is how cleaning companies start failing their oldest customers, and we would rather stay small in a city than be unreliable in five.

Credentials

The paperwork, on the record.

You are giving a company access to your property and your guests. You are entitled to see all of this before you sign anything.

Working with us as a business

We invoice with BTW, so if you host through a registered business the VAT is generally reclaimable and the turnover fee is a deductible operating cost.

Managing three or more properties, or a portfolio for other owners? Ask about the portfolio account: one invoice, one point of contact, volume pricing across every address, and a monthly report per property.
